My only thought with #2 is that by fixing what you can and can't climb on, you can no longer skip the initial melee tutorial and re-do the combat trial faster.

you can still skip it, i added a break in the fence at the end of the first hallway that you can go through. there’s a blue curtain signifying it

pretty sure this is a perfect example of when you say "you need to have crunchy gun sounds" this is so damn good!! the shotgun and sub are so nice

This is such an amazing demo! Definitely looking forward to full release!
The only things i can say i would change: better gore, it would suit the nature of the game so much (i hope i don't sound like a fucking psycho, lmao) and a way to reset the test without resetting the game, something like CoD4: MW combat test at the start of the game, it would make the process of having fun with the demo much easier! Good luck with this project, so far everything looks amazing for this game!

more detailed gore is planned! dw, the game is for psychos anyways. also, you can skip directly to the combat test by jumping thru the broken fence with the curtain at the end of the first hallway. it’s a bit hidden so people don’t jump out it right away

I love it so far and you did an amazing job! I love not having a crosshair; makes it more interesting to shoot! I like the dark and gritty nature of this demo and looking forward to another demo and release!!!

Really cool game / concept. Like the lack of crosshair. But having no healing is a bit hard (even if i complete the test course without dying). You are push to "exploit" the IA to be sure not to die, not the best feeling imo.

I dont know if I am the only one that has this problem but I cant see any of the text in the game...

Its all just blue boxes lol. Its making the game hard to get started lol

sadly that is not planned. the game will only feature one difficulty setting. however, in the full release and next demo, you will be able to equip armours and masks that will make it easier to survive certain encounters

is version 3 coming later?

i will be making a final patch to this small demo with some new enemy models, bug fixes, and a sandbox level. then i will be hunkering down to design the 2nd *real* demo that’ll showcase actual levels with objectives

First in the line up. A fun little demo with a pretty good selection of.. Implements. And leaning. I haven't seen leaning since the last time I booted up FEAR. A good all around demo. Look forward to seeing the full project. Lots of little story details  hinted at. I'm stilly curious to see if Rabbits a way out... or just self motivated.

Pretty good, I think ranged enemies are hard to counter without other ranged weapons, and that some of the weapons are a little unbalanced, but overall excited to see the next demo!

Fantastic! I made multiple runs, that was really fun.
Aim, body awareness and movements are really good.

Here are some small suggestions:

  • Being able to skip any dialogue by hitting TV with a weapon (or throwing at) would be much appreciated
  • Lean range should be amplified
  • Weapons with and without silencer are not considered as different weapon types, which means the first picked up disappears (instead of being dropped)
  • A systematic sound effect when the target on a shooting range is hit is missing
  • Being able to stop the shooting range from running may also be necessary for other players
  • A "restart" button in the ESC menu would be nice (but I don't know if in the final game it will be useful)

The easter egg is gold 😁

Freaking Hot. Can't wait for the next update. You really did a good job! BTW need an iron sight or show crosshair when zoomed. It's hard to CQC combat while they shoot perfectly. It's kind an unfair.

The game is super. I found a bug, if you throw a bottle at an enemy while he doesn't see you, then when he gets up, he still won't see you, I found this bug on the motel map, on the roof

maybe im a gamer loser but this was super tough!! i feel like you stopped giving health pickups suddenly and so i had to cheese the enemy AI to beat it. the fact that when you die you restart from the beginning and can't skip the dialogue again made me too careful. add some more health pickups or make the shooter guys less precise :) great game though!! i had a lot of fun, the style is really nice and the sound design is excellent. filled out the feedback form!! excited to play more of it B-)

oh you can skip it, there’s a hole in the fence at the end of the first hallway you can jump thru :) it’s not super obvious doe so it’s probably confusing. thanks for playing! 🤝❤️

Great Game!

There is unfortunately a bug that I hope that you are able fix within the next couple of versions.

There is an issue with the player movement that completely breaks mantling. Something within the player movement script is actively prohibiting mantling at lower framerates.

For being a demo, this was rock solid! Gun mechanics felt great, and movement wasn't bad either. Made a video on it.

very excited for this one. atmosphere is on point, grimy as hell. rarely does someone capture that gross fluorescent puke glow so well. the reactive ragdoll animations look great, don't usually see that on solo dev games. don't want to presume too much since I'm sure you're still plugging away and might be considering these things anyway, but for gameplay suggestions: more reactive AI (mooks don't react to wounds if they don't see me), and nerfing the lean.  I feel like being entirely invisible to the enemy while leaning makes things a bit too simple.

edit: oh yeah and probably not worth creating a whole new model for it but letting us smash the TVs with the sledgehammer to skip dialogue could be fun

i disabled carrying more weapons for this build bc of a bug. in the next demo you will be able to carry multiple weapons :)

This was absolutely amazing and I'm eager for more, but were there any health syringes during the shooting-combat segment? I kept having to run back to the beginning to refill on health.

i think part of the combat test was to avoid getting hit and taking damage there was a few at the beginning but became less the farther you get in

it's good but no check points? it is absolutely necessary to be able to skip the first two rooms with the sledgehammer an aw when you die. i like that the enemies can fall down and not die, more games should do this

at the end of the first hallway, jump right through the curtain. there's a hole in the fence there i included in version 2 so you can skip it :)

i don't like the idea of checkpoints for a combat test the intro was annoying after doing it every time but checkpoints i don't think is necessary past that
